Sadly our last week in Isibania, kenya arrived.  Kenya believe month one is over?  our last week was a pretty good one if
you ask me.  Monday was our sabbath so we
decided to spend the day at Lake Victoria the second largest fresh water lake
in the world.  The bus left at 5:30AM and
off we went.  We were able to take our
Pastor, his son Ronnie and 2 members of the church who had been serving us all
month.  We were also able to meet up with
one of the other teams while we were there.
We took a boat out on the lake.
This boat was a long wooden one that was probably not he most reliable
HaHa I mean Pastors son Ronnie was in the back skooping out water so that we
wouldn’t sink.  While on our little
adventure we did get to see a bunch of hippo’s in their wild habitat.  This was awesome until our guide told us that
they were capable of capsizing the boat.

Thursday
we went back the the orphanage we had went to the previous week.  Some of the kids had come back that day so we
got to play with them for a bit which was really cool.  It was suprising to see how much joy these
kids have even after loosing both parents.

I spent
some time this last week that I was in Kenya reflecting on what God had been
doing this month in my own life.  God has
used this month building up my confidence in the power of healing.  Most every person that I came into contact
with needed prayer for healing.  We saw
many people being healed this month from toothaches to stomach issues that had
lasted a long while completely gone in the name of Jesus!

Our last
night in Kenya was bittersweet.  I was
excited to move on to see what God has in store for me.  On the other hand I was very sad because I am
leaving some good friends back in Kenya.
Lucy was our cooks name she was the same age as me 23, Moneah was the pastors wife’s sister she was also 23 lastly there was Jennifer who was Pastors sister-in-law.  These 3 ladies decided that they were going
to bake us a cake.  They just didn’t make
one cake for the team they made us each our own individual cake.  How sweet is that?  I sure am going to miss these ladies.  I spent a lot of time in the kitchen getting
to now them over the past month and have grown to love them dearly.

We met up
with the rest of the squad in Busia, Kenya for a couple of days.  Then we were off to Jinja, Uganda to camp out
in our tents and we will be rafting the Nile River.  So next time I write it will be from Uganda!!
