I have finally made it to Nairobi, Kenya after about 30 hours of travel. Before we got here we had about a 13 hour plane ride to the airport in Doha, Qatar. I was told that we flew over Bagdad which I thought was pretty cool! We had about a 6 hour layover in Qatar. This layover flew by. We met some Russians and there may or may not have been a dance off right in the middle of the airport. I have never been treated so well on a plane before. We got hot towels twice, Ben and jerry’s ice cream twice and they fed us dinner and breakfast. Oh!! how could I forget the best part we each had an individual TV screen with tons of movies and games. I watched one of my favorite Disney movies Fox and the Hound. I also started watching Pocahontas but fell asleep not even half way through ha ha! I bought a neck pillow for the plane and bus rides that lay ahead and I am so, so, so thankful that I did because I was able to sleep most of the time in the plane even being in the middle.
It is so funny to think that I am half way around the world right now! The flight to Nairobi, Kenya was about 5 hours. We arrived about AM my time which would make it PM Kentucky time. There is a 7 hour time difference. Once we got our bags we chilled for a bit while the bus situation was figured out. The busses finally got there and we pilled on them and headed off to the hostile we are staying at. The workers at the hostile were a little shocked to see us because there was some miscommunication to when we were getting here ha ha! Thankfully they had enough room for all of us! We each have our own mattress, toilet and hotwarm showers.
When you think Africa you would think it would be HOT but that is definitely not the case at all it is quite cold here ha ha! So I wish I would have brought some different clothes buts its all god I will manage. We haven’t had any authentic food yet. We have been living on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the past couple of days.
Tomorrow morning at 7AM my time we are leaving for our first ministry sight which for me is Izibenia, Kenya which is about a 7-9 hour bus ride. Our contacts name is Pastor Abraham. We will be living with one of the church members and will be visiting hospitals, orphanages, prisons, preaching and will probably be doing some door to door ministry. I will be able to tell you more when we get there.

I wont know what my internet will look like the next few days I will get on as soon as I can!

Love you guys!!
