Every Wednesday we do an English club. This past Wednesday my teammate Sabrina and I were in charge. We talked about Easter and we shared the Gospel. Tom and I shared a story from our life where God has shown up and changed us. We normally have at least 20 people show up except this day we only had about 7 show up and here is why…
After the meeting this girl named Sophie came up to me and said to me Jaime everything that you were talking about being lonley, feeling left out and not wanted I know what you mean. I asked Sophie to explaine to me more of what she meant. She continued to tell me a little of her past and how she was not confident and how she felt alone. I got to share with her my story from the race and how God has built my confidence. I got to share with her that the thoughts that run through her head are lies and that the truth of God and his word will break those lies. I was talkig to her and she kept on saying that her English is not good and I said Sophie be confident your English is good. She raised her hand up in the air and shouted my English is good! Right before she walked out the door I grabbed her hand and told her how beautiful she was on the inside and out, how worthy she was and how much she was loved. Her smile was huge and she gave me such a big hug.
Tom was talking with this guy at English club and asking him what he was going to do after English Club. This guy says oh well I will probably go home and rest because I am not feeling very well. Tom asked this guy if he could pray for him and he said yes. Tom prays healing over this guy and continues the conversation as normal. The guy on his own no questioning from Tom, stands up straight and says I am feeling so much better I feel normal. This guy was healed right there at English Club. Tom made sure that the guy knew that it was Jesus that had healed him and told the guy that he could pray to Jesus just like he did.
We have just a little over a week left here in Ukraine and then it will be off to Romania. I can’t believe how fast this month is going by. I will be home before I know it and wondering where time went.
