I have spent this last week at training camp for the world race. I don’t even have words to express how I have been changed mentally, physcally and spirtually. This has been the most challenging week that I have had to go through but has also been one of the most fun weeks of my life.
This week I have been tired, hungry, dirty, sweaty, crying and dancing. The AIM team really placed us in a different world for one week to get us prepared for the world race.
The first part of the week was spent on us as individuals. Who knew that we had so much stuff that needed to be delt with. One thing that I have learned this week is that there is complete freedom in Jesus Christ. That Jesus loves you for who you are and wants you to come to him just how you are even if you have stuff. Another thing that I have learned and experienced first hand (ask me about the spiders haha) is that “God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and self discipline.” 2 Tim 1:7
I also have a new family and a team who I will intorduce in a blog soon to be posted. I love these peple with all my heart and can’t wait to spend 11 months loving the nations with them.
For future racers the biggest piece of advice that I could give you is to come into camp with an open heart willing to let God change you. God will change you in big ways you just have to let him.
Love,
Jaime
