“And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.” Matthew 10:38-39
I have been blessed with an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus in some of the darkest places in the world, and to see the injustices of this world first hand. I want to let go of everything I have and everything I want so that the Lord can show me what He wants for my life and the lives of those around me. I want to become less in order that He may be glorified more. I want to wholeheartedly follow after God and define my life by Him. I want to discover who I am in Christ and the authority I have through Him. I want to experience the Lord in ways I never dreamed possible. I want to love others as God loves them and see them as God sees them. I want to bring the Kingdom of Heaven down to earth.
I also want to live in community with people who share the same heart. As difficult as it may be at times, I expect the struggle of living in close fellowship with one another to bring us all into a deeper knowledge and revelation of God’s love. I expect to have my perspective of the world expanded and to be stretched way outside of my comfort zone. I expect some major personal transformation to take place and to be humbled in ways I didn’t know were possible before life on the race. I expect to be radically changed and for God to ignite a passion in me for the things He wants me to take part in both in the present and the future.
