This is my testimony which I speech at El Shaddai.
Do you know the Song “As Long As You Love Me”? In the song ‘a Guy’ is so into ‘a Girl’. So he keeps singing “He doesn’t care who she is, where she comes from, or what she did!” Isn’t it cool?
15 years ago, I heard this song for the first time. I thought that is GOD’s LOVE.
Couple days ago, during the cleaning dish time, I heard this song. And I realized that isn’t GOD’s LOVE. In the song the boy says, “AS LONG AS YOU LOVE ME” which means “Only you love me, then I’m not gonna care anything about you.” What a Great love! Still, CONDITIONAL LOVE. But GOD doesn’t. His love doesn’t work like that.
Do you know how faithful children are? Once they believe someone, they never doubt the person. Unconditional faith, they have.
When I was young kid, I was betrayed by some-people I fully-trust. Some years later, when I was teen, the wound I god had festered. I was very upset with GOD. I got mad at him. I tried to fight to GOD, argue with him. If he really cared for me, how does he let these things happen to me, let them hurt me? However, he never fought back to me. Actually, he just stayed there and listened to me. And then, when I was ready to hear his voice, he just quietly said“I LOVE YOU. I CARE for YOU. When you get hurt, I feel MORE pain than you. When you feel sad, I feel MORE sorrow than you.”
Psalm 145:8~9
The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in stead fast love.
The LORD is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made.
Psalm 100:5
For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
Yes, the GOD is your Father. The GOD -I met, I meet, I’ll meet- is for all generations. He CARES you. He endures, slow to anger, and steadfast love on you. I want to encourage you if you feel lonely or no-one cares for you, or have questions to GOD; eventhough the questiones look so rude or not good, JUST bring them to GOD. ASK him ‘WHY?’ He is willing to listen to your voice. He is waiting for you. And when you are ready, he will cleary talk to you. He LOVES you. He CARES for you. If you are listened his voice, understood his loving heart, and experienced his love, try to live like his children.
I want to close with my favorite verses.
1John 4:16
So we have come to know and to believe the love that GOD has for us.
GOD is love, and whoever abides in love abides in GOD, and GOD abides in him.
1John 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from GOD, and whoever loves has been born of GOD and knows GOD.
1John 3:1~3
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of GOD; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are GOD’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.
