Dear family and friends,
I hope this letter finds you well! I wanted to write you to let you know about some exciting news that I have. As you may know, I graduated from Christopher Newport University in the spring of 2012, and since then have been working for a small direct marketing company. While I have been more than blessed in my first job out of college, I have felt that the Lord has been calling me into international missions.
To answer this calling, starting in January 2014, I will be serving on an 11-month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries around the world through an organization called Adventures In Missions. I will be participating in their program called The World Race, in which my teammates and I will be spending a month in each of the following countries: Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, South Africa, Mozambique, Swaziland, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, and the Philippines. In each of these countries, we will be partnering with local ministries to serve in orphanages, plant churches, minister to women and children enslaved by human trafficking, and simply love on others and share the Gospel with them.
I am beyond grateful for this opportunity, but in order to go, I need the support of my friends and family. While I have been saving up in order to cover costs such as vaccinations, equipment, and travel expenses not covered by fundraising, I will need additional support. I must raise $16,285 to go on the World Race, which will cover expenses such as training, food, and travel once I’m out in the field. I am writing to ask if you would consider partnering financially and prayerfully with me in this ministry.

This journey will certainly be taking me out of my comfort zone, but I am beyond excited to see how God will be working in my life and those around me this coming year!
