Hello and Happy New Year!

We just wrapped up month 3 in Peru! We spent the month in Lima working with YWAM and various churches around Lima. We had a very sweet month and I wanted to share some of our memories with you!

We spent our first two weeks partnered with a new bilingual church called “GraceLife” We spent a lot of time handing out flyers and telling people about the church. Here we are at the church’s Christmas party our first weekend there!

We were asked to go with a church into a very poor village in the outskirts of Lima to help with their Christmas party. They had entertainment for the kids and then we  helped pass out snacks and new clothes to the children and parents.

Our second week in Lima we spent our mornings volunteering at a school. We lead devotionals, helped with English, and played games. At the end of the week, we were asked to perform at their Christmas party so we choreographed a stunning performance of Jingle Bell Rock (per the students request).

We took full advantage of living a mile from the beach and spent a few of our sabbath days reading by the water!

While handing out flyers before church one day, we met a local who runs a boys and girls group in a poor village, Pampalona Alta, outside of Lima. He invited us to come help with their Christmas party. We spent the afternoon helping lead games and took photos for the group!

We spent a few evenings passing out flyers for an English Club we hosted at our house on the weekends and we were blessed to meet these two angels, Ana and Victor. They came to our first club and we were able to develop a great friendship with them! We spent a few of our free evenings with them and then spent our last free night playing cards and eating dinner with us. They were by far my favorite part of Peru.

Finally, Christmas. Christmas was hard and we missed home and our families but we definitely made the best out of it. We did Secret Santa, played a lot of cards, made lasagna, ate lots of cookies, and brunch!

Overall Peru was an incredible month and we are so excited for our next adventure in Bolivia!
