A WOMAN WAS HEALED!!!

Not by my hands, and not even in my knowledge at the time; but I know for a fact that it was the result of my team and I’s prayers that 1 hour in the square.

Let me explain:

This month God told us we would not be harvesters.

Talk about a hard blow to the stomach.

That’s the reason why so many of us came on the race.

To watch God do something radical.

And He has.

But this month, He told us things were going to look different.

This month…

He asked us to simply sow His seeds.

So as we know, either from Biblical expertise or common sense, there is a time for sowing seeds and there is a time for harvesting.

If we don’t take the time to plant seeds, then there won’t be a harvest.

It’s just that simple.

So we can’t always be reaping the rewards.

We have to go out and be the workers too.

Too often, I just want to see the exciting part of the Gospel.

I want the off-the-wall, supernatural stories about how Jesus brought someone out of the pit.

I thrive on experiencing the unexpected.

But God told us, not this month.

Or at least, not in that way.

I want you to pray.

Pray for the people I show you.

Pray for the things that pop “randomly” into your head.

Even pray for what you do not see and do not know.

And when you’re finished all that…

Pray again.

So we did.

We prayed and prayed.

And that day in the square was a single representation of our entire month.

If you want to know what ATL looked like for us, it consisted of a whole lot of prayer.

And I’d be lying, if I said that there weren’t times I was hoping there was more.

I wanted to see the purpose behind all the prayers.

What did our prayers do?

I’ve heard that we can’t even fathom what we save people from because of the impact of our prayers.

But I wanted to imagine it!

(As you can tell, I’m still working on my patience.)

But God is always so gentle with me.

And even though He didn’t have to, He answered my prayer.

So as I mentioned,

that day in the square,

the same hour I stood holding my sign,

a woman was healed!

Another World Race team, team Agape, was praying over an injured woman.

She had somehow hurt her leg.

And it was in so much pain it affected her ability to walk.

When they first met her, she hobbled over to them and quickly showed them the swelling.

Within no time, they began praying that she would be healed.

At the same time, my team and I were dispersed around this area, just yards away from this healing circle.

We had no idea that this specifically was happening, but our prayers covered that square

We asked with all of our being that the Lord would be at work in this place.

And little did we know, that He already was!

The scene had been set.

The healing was sealed!

I came home, and you can imagine my expression when team Agape shared their story.

As they prayed, the swelling in this woman’s leg went down.

She began to dance and flail her once swollen limb around and around in joy.

There was no more pain.

She was better.

Our prayers had worked!

The lord asks us to enter different seasons.

Sometimes we don't like.

You can tell from my story, that I wasn’t too crazy about this month at first.

But liking it doesn’t have any bearing on how much or little the Lord works.

So I ask you: Is he asking you to plant the seeds or reap the harvest?

Whichever is your answer, I encourage you to obediently follow.
