I want to preface this blog by saying that I have an addiction to clothes. I never fully realized it until I attempted to pack for this trip. So the one thing I will promise you is that I am bringing way more clothes than is needed, and definitely more clothes than anyone else in my squad (God is still working with me on this). So if you are also a girl in love with clothes and wondering how you can do this race, than this packing list may help you.

***NOTE: When I got to launch my squad mates gave me some much needed tough love and helped me drop an additional 6.5 lbs! (that means my pack no longer weighs 51 pounds). So if you thought I was crazy after reading this blog, know that I got a little less crazy.*** Purple is what I cut down to at home. Green is what my squad mates helped me cut down to.

Me wearing all the clothes that didn’t make the cut once I got to Chicago (except I snuck back in my Phanatic Hat….it was a necessity!)

Pictured here is my bags just about as full as they could get (my big pack weighed in at 51 pounds! Just making the cut.). I know, I know, I cheated a little. I told many of you I was bringing just one bag. But let me tell you, it is no easy task trying to fit your whole life into three bags, let alone one! So I am starting my journey with three, but the bet stands to see how long I will last. I have no doubts that when it comes to carrying everything on my back, I will discover what it is I actually need real quick. I was always the type to have to learn the hard way.
CHICAGO HERE I COME!
