So, Training Camp.

I experienced…

43 awesome World Racers on my squad

8 long days

6 teammates (my new sisters!

nights in a tent

3 bucket showers

2 incredible squad leaders

1 powerful God

As soon as the lights went down and the first note of music rang out last Saturday night, I knew this was exactly where I was supposed to be. Every heart in the room was bowed before the Lord, hands were raised in complete awe of Him, and I could feel His presence. I still get chills thinking about it. God broke chains in my life this week, and showed me His love and power in a way I never knew possible. He is for me, not against me. He doesn’t condemn me, He forgives and frees me. Experiencing that is so much different than just knowing that. Wow.

Overall, it was crazy.  This has been the hardest week of my life, both physically and emotionally. I finally met my squad of World Race Gap A-ers, and love each one of them. We camped together, hiked together, slept in tents and on a school bus together, cooked together, went through boot camp together…and in all of this, we truly bonded together. Here we are, the crazies in GREEN!

Biggest news of the week? The three countries we are traveling to! I am so incredibly excited to say I will be living in…drumroll please…

GUATEMALA!

then THAILAND!

and then BOTSWANA!!!

I can’t wait to find out which ministries we will be partnering with in each country, but for now I know God has an awesome plan for us and I am beyond thrilled.

By the end of the week, our squad was separated into

the 6 teams that we will be traveling with all year!

Officially announcing…TEAM VALIANT!

Meet Annika, Brooke, Julie, Amy, Shelby, and Michelle 🙂

Our first picture [of many] together {task: make a memory}

(P.S. that was our first dessert in a week, and it was dang good.)

God doesn’t need me to advance His Kingdom. He doesn’t need me at all.  But He has invited me to walk with Him, to become a part of His plan. And I am so humbled and excited and scared and speechless and joyful and nervous at the opportunity to jump into this new life of ministry and service to Him and His people this year.

I’m so thankful for these last five weeks at home, and then so ready to jump into the Race He has set before me on September 1st.

Love y’all.

XOXO
