Yes I know, I don’t blog much so here is an update for the last two months and some photos to go along with!

Month 3 – Peru!

Peru has been my favorite month yet! Ministry consisted of many different things. including but not limited to;

Handing out tracks and sharing the gospel with people in the market

Playing soccer with kids

painting hundreds of red bricks one by one

hiking through the jungle with while carrying 10 foot beams

getting stuck in said jungle

crying in said jungle

and never wanting to go back to said jungle because my legs were so swollen from bug bites

Honestly though I wouldn’t change any experience I had there, Mostly because of our amazing hosts.

Pablo and Belen!

These people taught me the true meaning behind loving and serving others! I will never forget the many lessons they taught me! Plus, I have so many jungle stories that transfer over to sermons so it’s a win win!

Month 4 – India

What can I say about India…

it was the month I most dreaded on the race! Whether it was the spicy food, hot weather or squatty potties there was not a single thing that I was looking forward to in India. And it surely did not disappoint!

Once we got into the country they decided to share with us that we were there during the hottest month of the year. “Sweet thanks!” Our host who has lived in India for the past three years told us it was the hottest he had ever felt there… Thankfully he didn’t tell us that until after we were leaving the country as to not give us an excuse to have a pity party. (You better believe I’m having one now!)

The heat outside was not the only temperature I had to deal with either. Everything was spicy which not only wrecked my mouth but also heated up the bathroom! I quickly realized I was in for a rough month when I almost fell in the squatty my first try! Easy to say I limited my visits to the bathroom in India, only 4 time the entire month!

There was a bright side to the country though! We were not allowed to post anything ministry related in India which meant I didn’t have to blog! PRAISE!! Haha actually though, all hot weather spicy food aside I enjoyed my time there. I learned a lot about sacrifice and stewardship of time and again had experiences that I can turn into sermons!
