BRUH!! Barely in my first month of the race and I have experienced so many firsts. It has been evident that I have finally officially taking the leap of faith and waiting for God to catch me.

Thus far, it has been my first time sharing a Hotel bed with a stranger, flying across the pacific, being in china, being a foreigner, eating noodles on a plane, being in Cambodia, staying in hostels, riding in Tuk Tuks with all my packs, and countless other things. Needless to say it has been rad!

These 18 strangers that I have travelled with have become family, I will miss them as we have already broken into individual teams. I am blessed to get the chance to meet them. It is so sweet to see how God has brought all of us and our different backgrounds to Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Currently we are on our way to finish up our Missions Training. And training has been the best, I have already learned so much from the leadership team it has been unreal. Friends and Family I have been reminded how alive and active our God is. It is necessary for me to ask each day for what the Lord has for me today and our squad. Also know this isn’t just true in Cambodia but in the States as well. The Lord speaks and we can hear it when we learn to recognize our Heavenly Father’s voice.

It has been so cool to explore and meet people that call this place home. Yes I am here to join God in what He is already doing and that ministry work isn’t necessarily working at a church here, or volunteering at an orphanage. Lately it has been playing soccer with a bunch of the neighborhood kids, having conversations with the man that manages a rec center, and giving out cold bottles of water to the people that the Lord puts on our hearts. I am learning that life is ministry and ministry is life, so I don’t have a set schedule day to day but the opportunity to develop relationship with everyday people and let them know about my Heavenly Father. “The word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14)

The route that I am on holds true to its name- unscripted. Just like Jesus did, I will do as my Father does. Therefore the rest of my time In Cambodia should be crazy, hard, and awesome all at the same time. Waking up in Cambodia is still a trip, but I have learned that these people are so generous with what they have. They are quick to give and ready to help. Everyday I have walked about 2.2 miles to a house where we have our training. On these walks I have wore hiking boots, sandals (Air Bethlehems), and flip flops all while sweating an uncomfortable amount. I love these walks, because I get to know this place and know my squad a little bit deeper.

As for me personally being teachable is such a great quality to have. Being openminded to others perspective has helped me so much to embrace what God is doing. The Lord has spoken so clearly of the gifts He has given to me and how I shouldn’t hide them. The more and more I learn who God has made me to be the more and more I realize He has gifted me with being a learner, having a sweet spirit that encourages others, and that it brings the best out of others. I am so thankful.

The Leadership team asked me to be a team leader, which was unexpected and a little nerve wrecking. However I am ready to step into the role that the Lord has put me in. It also helps that I am on a team with some freaking rockstars. I have Danny Boy, Matty Ice, and the old bull T-Diggy and naturally we called ourselves the Guarder of Hearts. I am ready to do ministry with these homies in the months to come.

Matthew 8:8 – But the centurion, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but only say the word, and my servant will be healed.

I love this because in order for God to work we have to stop working. We need  to give up control and let Him be the authority in our lives.

Thank you for all the support friends and fam, you have listened to what the Lord has put on your heart, and you are apart of what God is doing in Cambodia.

I would love for you to continue to support what the Lord is going to do here in Cambodia and in the countries to come by prayer for the squad and I, and financially. I only need about $1,000 to go.

Anyways if the Lord is calling you to jump, then jump!
