We left Buffalo, New York and head to Minneapolis. We made a stop one night and got hosted by Lydia. A wonderful woman that’s now Andrew, my friend I traveled with, his girlfriend. We get hosted by a lovely family, the Petersons. We got welcomed in with loving arms. They are a landing zone for people coming off World Race. Their house is called the Riverdale House. Their home is beautiful and right outside Minneapolis. They have meet ups for people who have done the World Race. We got there and got met by the family. They have two sons and a daughter. Elle was home from China, where she taught English as a second language in China. They showed us around places in Minneapolis such as the capital, parks, places to eat and explore, and gave us the local tour. We also met Tanner, an amazing man that is wild at Heart and loves adventure. He does photography and works at a rehab center. He also does storm chasing. He took me and Andrew storm chasing one day with him. It was wild! We saw a tornado about 200 yards away from us, and got to know a lot about storms. This was right around the time of the George Floyd death. When walked around the George Floyd memorial right away, and it was heavy. There was a tension in that area that I never felt before, a heaviness. We worked with feed my starving children, went on a Jesus march around the George Floyd memorial, meet ups with alumni, and prayer walks. We had dinner with the family and got to know the family well. I also got the chance to meet up with friends that I did the World Race overseas with. I went to church with them and got to spend time with them. God was moving in Minnesota. I spend lots of time in the Word, taking deep dives into scripture, learning about community, and mission.

I will always love Minneapolis and now have a place to call home in Minnesota. God is good! Always. We took off for Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.
