We stopped in Indianapolis on the way to Michigan for two days. We were right outside of city of Indianapolis, in a beautiful air bnb home. We just got finished with Deon and his teaching in Kentucky. I was ready to go out and put to practice what we were taught. I stepped out of the van and saw a man sitting on a stair right outside a door. It was good to get out of the van after a long travel day. I loved travel days. I sat with God, and did lots reading, learning, and processed deep theological questions. I went for a run right when we got there, it was a beautiful sun shining day. I ran past the man on the stairs and stopped and talked with him for a while, he said he was a Christian. I asked him if he’d like to do a bible study later. I went back to the house. I had dinner and gotten changed. Went back to the house and did this teaching with this man and it was filled with joy, tears, love, and fellowship. He was ready to come to come back to the Lord. We read a few scripture and I pointed out what Jesus did, and answered questions for him. I still keep in touch with the man today, and consider him a dear friend. We stayed there and left for St. Joesph, Michigan! We were staying at RJ and Kayla house, but with COVID-19 are schedules didn’t line up so we stayed at there house and there roommate Alyssa! They were out on business. Alyssa also had a boyfriend that lived in Milwaukee come, he was good to have around. The home was beautiful and was walking distance to the Lake. We partnered with Mosaic thrift store. We worked under Gabrielle. She is an incredible woman and was doing business flipping houses as well. She also has a golden doodle and I loved it! Mosaic is a thrift shop that is involved in the community. We were there like a normal job and did manual labor. We helped move items for sale, cleaned and organized the basement, picked the weeds in the garden, and painted the walls. We got to explore downtown and take walks by the water. My friends who lived near by came and joined a Sunday afternoon with me. A coffee shop near by opened and that was beautiful to be in a coffee shop again. God was teaching me so much at the time and this year was a lot of learning to just be still. We saw a lot and learned a lot about the American church, culture, community, and mission. Michigan was beautiful and will always have a piece of my Heart!
We spent two week there and took off for We took for Buffalo, New York!
