Jesus. The name of Jesus sets me free. Everything that isn’t pure leaves my body in your name. It’s all about his name. Walking in the newness of life. My spirit jumps when I hear the name of my king. I’ve been in New York for a day or two. It’s like a black and white picture. The light and the dark. At a coffee shop reading,
John 3:16-21
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgement: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his world should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out by God.”
God gave me a black and white picture view of this earth. A light and dark image.
I read this and thinking to myself. These words make me come alive. These words are living. I broke down on the plane going back to US soil and cried for an hour reading this passage;
1 Corinthians 6;9-11
“Or do you not know that the unrighteousness will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexual immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revolvers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”
“And such were some of you” You are never in to deep to find him! This makes me tremble and fear. So powerful.
John 2 17 also states;
The disciples remembered that it was written “Zeal for your house will consume me.”
Jesus was consumed with zeal for the house of the Lord. What Jesus did sets my soul on fire. I want to be just like him. The name of Jesus makes us clean and snow. We were washed, cleaned, justified in the name of Jesus. It’s simple words. Gods love runs deep. I can feel it! This passage is a weapon. You know the truth in these words. Jesus cleans your soul to the light. You get right with God. Righteousness conviction comes in and you can discern black from white. The Holy Spirit is unexplainable! Your blood is pure! You get eyes to see life and death. Dark and light. Black and white. Jesus is my King.
This is so good! I look over and the passage in John 3 right before it chapter is called “You must be born again.” Life is Jesus, Jesus is Life. Give it all to him!
“Gods steadfast love is better than life itself.” Psalm 63
God so loves us. Heaven is here. The gospel is so beautiful. God is so beautiful. Without the spirit of God the Bible is a book. The spirit of God makes it the book of life. A black and white word so powerful.
Father. I lay down today. I fear not, I love you.
