Ever since my first mission trip in 8thgrade to Orlando, just 30 minutes from where I live, I’ve fallen in love with mission trips. While I was there I spent the week working in a rehabilitation center where I spent time reaching out to the patients spreading the word of God, and showing His love to anyone we could come in contact with. During that week, I made so many connections, especially with one very sweet elderly woman. She had a hatred for God because of certain circumstances that happened in her life in recent years; so much so that she even wanted to take her own life. I made it my mission to speak to her throughout that week and show her the love and compassion He has for her. With spending everyday with her just within one week she told me that I showed her what God’s love is really all about and said because of me, she no longer wanted to end her life but give it up to the Lord and rebuild relationships with people that she ripped away from her life. Not only did I help, but she also saved me. She showed me just how much God could do through me.
I never could have imagined that little 8thgrade me could make such a big difference in someone’s life. Ever since that memorable day, I’ve had a hunger to see just what kind of impact I can make in peoples lives. God has pushed me to do many mission trips throughout years in Alabama, Georgia, Belize, and Costa Rica. Throughout these trips I have witnessed God do incredible things that shakes me to my core just typing about it. And this hunger for missions will surely not end there as I am about to embark on the greatest journey of my life, an 11 month Mission trip to 11 different countries. These countries include Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Morocco, Ethiopia, Djibouti, India, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, and Indonesia! I’m beyond excited, extremely scared, but so ready to begin this journey. I want to touch as many lives as possible and see how many smiles I can bring to peoples faces around the world.
I’m going to need a ton of support and a lot of prayer to help me on this journey. I have to raise $19,200 to be able to be the light in the dark to these people. This money does not just go to me, it allows me to be able to go on this incredible trip but also helps fund the different projects we’re going to be doing in each country my team visits. Thank you so much for your support!!! And keep up with this page, I’ll be sharing with you my entire journey and I could certainly use your continued prayers throughout this experience!
