As I sit in the Atlanta Airport with bags strewn about me one thought comes to mind, this is it, the moment I have been waiting for is finally here. My departure from the United States is just mere hours away now. I won’t be in my home country for 11 months and I am about to embark on an adventure with God that is taking me international. My first stop is Panama, a country I have wanted to go to for as long as I can remember. While many other teams have their assignment, my team’s month will look a bit different. My first month will consist of searching the cities of Panama for Unsung Heroes. Unsung Heroes are men and women who are dedicated to serving some of the most impoverished populations in the world, yet rarely receive recognition for their dedication and service. These people are doing incredible things to bring the Kingdom of God to our hurting world. My team is assigned to go wherever we feel the Holy Spirit leading us in the country of Panama. We are to connect with them, support them, and see if we are able to build a long-term relationship with them so they could get support from Adventures in Missions and have future teams come and support their ministries. Regardless of whether you have been a lifelong friend, or just randomly stumbled upon my blog, I ask that you pray for my team (Royal Covenant). Pray that the Holy Spirit would lead us to people/ministries that have exhausted their resources, that need support and encouragement, and that we could bring the light of Christ to the nation of Panama.
