God has been showing me so much through the World Race. And it’s been so exciting to see God moving in and through me. But one of the hardest and most uncomfortable areas God has exposed me to this little thing called fundraising.
To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of fundraising. Everything about it just makes me bummed. There are so many people, charities, groups out there that are in need of donations to fundraise their programs, and there are times where it just seems like I am just one of those voices. But, I also know that being able to fundraise and ask for donors and contributors is a gift from God. It is an incredibly humbling process from beginning to end, and can also be extremely encouraging to see people supporting me.
With that said, if you didn't know already, I have to fundraise for the World Race, and since I am asking you to prayerfully consider supporting me, I thought you might like to see where exactly your money will go:
As a World Racer, the $15,500 is broken down by these categories:
- Training Camp–$320 (2%)
- Field Support–$620 (4%)
- WR Development Program–$1,860 (12%)
- Administration Fees–$2,635 (17%)
- World Racer–$10,065 (65%)
As you can see, I get 65% of the funds going directly to me to help me live overseas as a missionary. Within that 65% going towards me, my budget is broken down into these categories:
- Intercontinental Travel–$4,939.45 (45%)
- Food–$1,256.25 (13%)
- Lodging–$1,758.75 (19%)
- Transportation–$1,005.00 (11%)
- Long Distance Travel & Misc. Supplies–$1,115.55 (12%)
On average, a typical day on the World Race looks like this:
- $3.75 per day for food
- $5.25 per day for lodging
- $3.00 per day for transport
- $3.33 per day for long distance travel (buses, trains) and miscellaneous supplies
As you can see, the life of a World Race missionary isn’t a glamorous vacation, but a calling to live amongst the real and raw community and people, abandoning shallow pleasures, loving serving selflessly “the least of these” like Christ served and loves the world.
But I can’t do this alone. I need your help in sending me throughout the world. Will you prayerfully come alongside me in contributing to this great and incredible calling God has led me to? If you feel led to support my WR ministry financially there are several easy ways in doing so:
- You can give online with by clicking right here or the link towards the left hand side of my blog.

Alsoo, one of the best ways to help out as well is word-of-mouth. Please share my story with your friends, family church, etc. Help spread the word about this amazing thing that God is doing throughout the world.
Thank you so much for all of your support and prayers. I couldn’t have done this without your gracious gifts and prayers. I encourage you; this isn’t just something that is a fairytale or good idea. This is eternal, this is the Kingdom of God, and this is what you and I were created for; to give God glory by making Him known to all people of all nations!
