And now the prize awaits me-the crown of righteousness, which the lord, the righteous judge, will give me on the day of his return. Watching sports is one thing that I love to do, I love my OSU cowboys!!!
There’s always a but….. How many times do we see in sports in basketball or football or whenever a team is in total control and then they lose? It happens all the time.
They lost because something changed, the defense or offense something changed.
The game is never over til the clock is at 0:00 . Always fight til it says 0:00
We need to look at life the same way, we must stay strong til our clock says 0:00
When our clock runs out and we’re standing face to face with God we need to have persevered to the end, then we’ll hear “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
The prize can’t be earned nor achieved no matter how many wins we have. The prize is the righteousness that he will give us on the day he returns for finishing the race and remaining faithful to the end.
THE KEY: faithfulness is different for each person. Your job is to run it until the end, keeping the prize in sight!!
