The events of today set something in my heart to write about, so here is the passion that God gave me behind these words. These words coming from God to my head, through my heart and out from my fingers and then on to this blog.
Today as Stephanie, Megan and I set out to pray for a new part of town it was very hot and seemed like we were going straight in to a dead end. Half way there we stopped and prayed for God to show us what he wants us to do. We each spoke and came to a plan. The ministry for us today was to touch each building that was along our path God put us on.
God speaks in a million different ways, and today he spoke through our hands. The part of town we walked in was a ghost town, little to nothing was happening. Yeah you had your normal people there but not much else. But God saw something different and used us to bring his glory to this part of town.
Through our hands the Holy Spirit filled the town with joy, hope, love, passion, grace and a million other things. On the other side of town you can see all that and more. When someone has the Holy Spirit they have the ability to be life-changers. The Holy Spirit moves in different ways, words, love, other people, and random things on the side of the road. Anything you can think of the Holy Spirit is there. There’s no place the Holy Spirit can’t be. As we were passing through the town we saw the streets filled with love, the buildings glowing in the sun, people dancing and kids playing.
We prayed for a building and as we were praying we heard people on the inside talking. God almost in an instant put something else in my heart. He said to me, there are people on the inside and you guys on the outside. The people on the inside don’t know what’s on the outside but we on the outside know that there are people on the inside. So, it’s like we know there are people on the inside but those people don’t know what’s going on outside. The Holy Spirit was knocking the walls down left and right just like a crane crashing into a building. IT WAS AWESOME!!
As we touched each building, new life was given.
A future of brightness, a future of a solid foundation.
