The day grew into night and the night grew into the morning hours of a long work day. I got off work at 2am and started my car. As soon as the radio kicked in the song "live like that" from the sidewalk prophets came on. And oh man did it send chills all over my body! It was def God speaking to me and what better of a time then now! In a week I'll be leaving for training camp for The World Race. In the song there's a lyric that goes like this "I want to live like that, and give it all I have" remember that line and I’ll tie it into the following story. While listening to the breakaway ministries podcast "Go! Missions" I started to cry. Toward the end of the podcast the leader Ben Stuart shined the light on a bright young man. This young man's name is BJ Higgins. At an early age people noticed something different about BJ. They noticed his love for his God. He would tell people about the gospel and share Jesus with them. His dream was to go to Africa on a mission trip. At the age of 14 BJ went to peru on a mission trip. This is where everything took an unexpected turn. He contracted a rare disease that took his short his short, young, and bright life. Remember that line? "I want to live like that, and give it all I have." BJ Higgins lived his life by the word of God and gave it all he had. Well it is my prayer that God uses me in the way he used BJ to make an impact. We are never promised that next day, I want to make the most of today. We as the body of Christ need to give it all we have for the one who made us, GOD!
