As we progress in life we attach ourselves to things that we come to love.  What are the things that you love?  Where does God stand?  I encourage you to make a list.  Sit down somewhere alone when making this list be honest with each thing and where you put it.

If God isn’t number one then that’s ok, there’s room and plenty of time to get him there.  Remember life is a process.  If God is number one then good, but there’s more.  Next question.  How much space/distance is God from the number two thing on the list?  Even though God is number one, the space behind him matters.  God wants to be so far ahead that it wouldn’t matter or mean anything to see what’s behind you.  As we increase that separation between God and number 2 brings a love that is unmatched.
Nothing can compare to his love and where it takes his children, with this unmatchable love comes passion.  The word passion to me means that loving something so much that if it where taken away you wouldn’t be able to operate.  What if someone came up to you and took God from you?  What would you do? How would you react? First of all you can’t take God away from me or anyone else.  But, I wouldn’t be able to move.  When you have the Holy Spirit you will look different and people will question you.  What will you do? Will you be ashamed to defend someone who’s jealous for you?

Romans 1:16 talks about not being ashamed of the gospel. God is never ashamed of you.  In 1st Peter 3:15 says we need to be ready to defend the gospel when questioned about the hope living inside us.  Galatians 5 and 1st Peter talk about being free with Christ.  Now that we all three pieces lets mesh them together.  When Christ comes into the picture we receive a level of freedom that propels us past any words or shame that could hurt us.  Secondly, we begin to be consumed with love.  How can you be ashamed of the father’s love?  You can’t run from it nor hide from it, it’ll always be there no matter what.  Thirdly, when you love something with passion be ready to defend it.  Defending what you love is important.  Are you ready to piece all three together?

WE ARE FREE FROM THE WORLD TO NOT BE ASHAMED TO DEFEND THE
GOSPEL!

Are you going to answer?
