When I signed up for the World Race I wasn’t exactly sure how the money would work out. I knew I needed God to provide $13,800 dollars, and I knew he would use others to do it — I didn’t have 14K just lying around. Beyond that I trusted that if he wanted me to do this, he would find a way to make it happen.
The other night I tabulated my support as I have done many other times. Once I counted up all the pledges and added them to the cash in my account, the number came to $14,000. I stared at my scratch paper for a while, and checked my addition. I never thought all my support would come in before I left. During all the time I was raising support I just trusted that God would provide. Then it hit me — he used all of you. My support is in, He provided, and He did it through all of you.
This year I will get to be the hands and feet of Christ to people all over the world, and it’s all because you were first His hands and feet to me. In this moment God’s providence has been made real in my life and it’s because of many of you. I praise Him and thank you all for the pivotal part you have already played in this life-shaping experience.
