Throughout my entire college career, I was always thinking about what I would do after I graduated. Initially, I thought that becoming a teacher would be the best option. I love helping others, especially young children, and being active, so being a physical education teacher seemed to be a great fit. However, I was in for a rude awakening. God had bigger plans. In my final semester, I began to pray more and more about what I would do after college. I wanted a challenge that would make a huge impact in my life and make a big difference in this world. Honestly, my flesh wasn’t happy where I was in life. I was ready to change the scenery. However though I should have been content because God uses us wherever we are for His glory. Even though we might not like where we are in life, God has a plan. We just have to be patient and seek His will, trusting that everything will work out according to His purpose. One day, my friend Trey Collier told me about the World Race. At first, I thought it was the best idea in the world. But after the excitement went down and started thinking about it more in depth, I was very hesitant. I began having thoughts such as, “How I would come up with the money? Would my health be a problem? Is this the right step for my future?” Questions continued to pop into my head daily. For about a month, I put off the idea of the World Race or missions at all, but the idea kept coming back up. So after trying to figure out what I was supposed to do, I gave all my concerns and worries to God. One of my downfalls is always trying to do things on my own. I have learned that the best option is to give everything to Him. After several prayers, I knew God was calling me to the mission field. All the worries I had were gone now. I learned that I just needed to trust in the Lord and have faith that His will be done. All I ever want to do in this life is what God wants. Wherever He leads me I will follow!!!!
