Y’all, it’s kinda crazy what’s happening in the world right now. It’s very hard to understand the full extent of the situation and how it’s affecting people and families and other nations; however, with my entire state going on lockdown and people’s anxiety going through the roof, I can literally see the devil at work creating this frenzy where people turn and accuse each other, selfishness overpowers brotherly love, and God is forgotten.

Since school had been cancelled, my sister Jordan and I were driving to meet one of her friends this week and this song came on her phone’s shuffle over the car’s speakers. Although the entire song is the same verse in repetition over and over and over — the message is powerful, the reminder is perfect, and there is affirmation that God is present.

This song has been stuck in my head and the praise in my heart. I need to keep my eyes set upon faith and my hands open.

Yes, I’m scared for potential suffering of my international friends, my sweet friends on the seas, my family members, our military, & the helpless and at risk communities. But one thing must remain clear.

No matter what happens within our world, our country, & our families, it cannot overpower God. He’s THE Creator. THE Savior. THE Ultimate.

So yes, wash your hands more often than usual, supply your families with the daily necessities, but don’t forget that loving others is more important and trust that God  works everything for good.
