“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.” – Luke 15:4-7

Jesus was beaten, cursed, denied, unwelcomed, hated, and yet He never gave up on His mission. He is still at work even now, until the end of time. On the last day, all the believers will ascend into heaven and will dance and celebrate Him — before Him, the King over all– eternally. And there will be great rejoicing in the throne room in victory over sin and death. Praising over the transformation of lost souls.

Life may fee like an eternity as each day presents another battle. Your struggles may be overwhelming and you may want to quit. But Jesus never quits. In those moments He chases after you and fights for you. Relentlessly. He has already won. Through Him we have victory– so go out and live knowing you’ve already won! Go out. Seek the lost. Lead them to repentance. Rejoice when they are found!

Oh the overwhelming, never ending,
reckless love of God.
Oh it chases me down,
fights till I’m found,
leaves the ninety-nine.
I couldn’t earn it,
I don’t deserve it,
still you give yourself away.
Oh the overwhelming, never ending,
reckless love of God.
