Ever since training camp I have been focused on getting ready to leave for the Race. While describing the race, many people they have responded, “God is going to change you so much on this trip.” I have wholeheartedly agreed and continued with my somewhat normal life: trying to finish school, getting ready for launch, and hanging out with friends. Somehow I had left God out of this preparation time. “No God I’m not ready! You can start changing me and using me for your kingdom when the Race begins.”
NEWSFLASH: THE RACE HAS ALREADY STARTED!
One of the things they told us at camp was that the race has already begun for us. We may not have left the country yet but God is using us in the places where we are and preparing us for what we will do when we get on the field. For some reason I have been forgetting that these past few weeks. I have been missing things that God has for me by putting the other things in my life before him. I have dropped the ball and my relationship with God has suffered.
Today I am putting an end to this and allowing God to have total control of my crazy life. Why is it important I start today?
1. God told me to. When God speaks this clearly to me I better listen. It usually means he is about to do something crazy!
2.The way we end one season is how we begin the next. If I end this season of college, home, and family apart from God and not listening to his direction, I will start the race in the same way. I never want to have to write anther blog post about missing what God has for me, especially on the Race that many of you are supporting me financially to go and do what God has called me to do.
Today I am letting God control my life, I am listening to his voice, and I will do the things he has asked me to do here so I will be equipped when I am there.
This song is becoming my anthem right now, God speaks to me through music a lot so I thought I would share it with you. Lord, I’m ready now!
