Some of you might be asking yourself, “why is she in Cambodia?” Well it wasn’t part of the plan until the end of Malaysia.
Before going home the Lord allowed me the opportunity to take 2 weeks extra to travel before heading home.
My first choice was Vietnam!
But Papa sometimes has better plans for us. Last year Cambodia was a little rough for me. Honestly it was a bit of a blur. I mostly remember drinking lots of coffee and eating lots of sweets. But God said “no” to Vietnam and instead placed Cambodia on my heart.
At first I was upset because I was really looking forward to going back to Vietnam, but every time I tried to book flights strange things would happen with the airlines asking for things I couldn’t provide, so I stopped and asked God what He wanted. He said “no” to Vietnam, so at that I said, “well I guess I’m going home.” But that wasn’t sitting right in my spirit.
A few days later, He laid Cambodia on my heart and when I prayed about going there all He did was smile. He knows what He is doing. So I booked my flight and it was so simple.
When I was still in Thailand I asked God what He wanted the 2 weeks to look like and He said, “Take it a day at a time. It is a time of rest and reflection.” Perfect. I need time to reflect and process the last 17 months.
But that’s not all.
Cambodia was rough last year and these next 2 weeks will also be a redeeming time. Which I’m really excited for.
It’s my first day in Cambodia and already I feel a love overtaking me for this place. As I rode the Tuk Tuk to the guesthouse I’m staying at, the Lord highlighted the beauty that is in this place. I got to sit and hang out with the beautiful staff at the guesthouse and I can’t wait for the relationships that the Lord is going to build between us.
I’m now traveling by myself, so the AIM/World Race is not responsible for me anymore. lol. That means that I will be paying for food, lodging, and trans out of personal. If you would like to help me out financially during my time here in Cambodia. I have PayPal account that you can donate to it’s, paypal.me/jackiemarquezwr
Please be praying for the people of Cambodia as well as my time here and what Daddy wants me to do everyday.
Much love and thank you for following my journey with the Lord.
