It might sound crazy, but I did it.
There was a little ant stuck in a puddle of water and I cheered it on.
“Little ant don’t give up. You are so close. No, don’t stop. You can do this. You can make it to the dry land. Keep going. Persevere.”
As I did this, Papa started sharing some insight.
“This is what I do. I see the big picture, as you see it now for this ant. You see how close he is and you don’t want him to give up. I see how far and close you are and I cheer you on. I don’t want you to give up. I want you to persevere and keep going no matter how hard it gets. I want you to persevere.”
I was discouraged when the little ant would stop moving.
“No, little ant, don’t stop. You can do this!”
And then he would move again and I would celebrate. Daddy celebrates when we don’t give up and persevere. He sees the big picture of our life and knows what we can and cannot do. When we stop moving He encourages us to keep going. When we move He celebrates and continues to cheer us on. We can trust the One who sees it all.
I’m proud to say, my little ant did not give up and made it to dry land. Yay!
