How many times have we walked into church, seen someone dressed a little different then us, and not seen them through eyes of love? Instead of loving them, we have judged them, based upon their appearance.

Guilty.

How easy it is to judge others based on their appearance and yet we claim to love and follow Jesus.
 
It would have never crossed Jesus’ mind to judge and condemn them, He would have loved them. The religious leaders and Pharisees saw a woman who had committed adultery, a woman of sin. Yet Jesus saw a woman who was lost and broken. A woman who needed saving. A woman whom he was willing to die for. A woman he was willing to love.

Jesus could have walked away from her and said terrible things about her, but that isn’t who our Jesus is. Our Jesus is love. And because my Jesus is love, I want to be love. I want to love, like he does. I want to see everyone through eyes of love. I don’t want to fall victim to judgement and condemnation. I want to fall victim to love. I want to love as my King has loved me.

This time I only have to fundraise $6,500. 

  • $3,500 for the 5 months on the field
  • $1,500 for month 7 debrief (I get the privilege to go and visit my squad and see how they are doing, since alumni squad leaders went home) 
  • $1,500 for final debrief (I get to celebrate with my squad the last few days on the field)

I will also be sending monthly emails to all supporters, letting you all know what the month looked like and what the Lord has been teaching me.
