I'm about to head to the San Francisco Airport for training camp so I'll keep this one short.

Yesterday I shopped for the very first time, a headlight, thermapad, and many camping items at REI; and then  spent hours packing and repacking a large backpack that a friend let me borrow.

Now my bags are packed, and I'm ready to head to the red dirt covered woods of Georgia for a 1 week intensive that is best described to be a one-of-a-kind experience that would help me face the next 11 months.

Someone once said God is more concerned about building our character than our comfort. So living in the woods in a tent for a whole week with a bunch of strangers and taking cold outside showers will be just that and more.

I am a bit nervous to let this girly girl go and find my inner camp girl, but I'm also excited to meet all my fellow Racers that have been virtually adding me on Facebook all week long, especially the L squad girls and guys, we will be proudly wearing our "orange" colors in Squad Wars. Yes, I brought all my orange colored shirts, pants, and bandana! 😉 Oh, and I found my harmonica to play by the campfire. Some of you have surely heard me play in the past, remember?

I am most of all ready for God to take me out of my comfort zone and let me watch and learn from the Adventure in Missions staff, alumni and team mates. I'm ready to increase my level of faith and face the UNKNOWN.

Let the Race begin.

Please pray and support me, dear friends.
