Last month, spent our time around Talanga, Honduras. It is a rural town, about an hour and a half from the capital.
We were doing different things almost daily.
I have been taking vitals, preparing prescriptions, doing pre-interviews, and talking with patients at the small rural primary care clinic.

We also did construction, building primarily a fence for the ministry property.
And we managed to look good doing it. 🙂

We we fed children at rural mountain schools on Thursdays.

We were able to attend and share with the local churches. Many of my squadmates preached, and we also ran Sunday school for the children. We were also able to attend some baptisms! (Below is my squadmate, Jan Carlo, preaching at the small church by the medical clinic.)

Getting to church!

My team also visited an orphanage and a foster home for at risk youth. These kids come from all sorts of unbelievable situations, such as extreme poverty and families of abuse and incest. We also encountered some teens orphaned as a result of gang violence; they saw their mom beheaded in front of them and are still being hunted. For their safety, I cannot post any photos, but the photo below is of the other orphanage, which houses over 40 at risk and unwanted children.

I had one incredible day interviewing single moms in one village for a World Food Program feeding program. Read more about that in one of my previous blogs, "sight for the blind".
We also had a wonderful valentine's day! The boys made dinner for the girls, and the girls made breakfast and did performances for the boys! It was a blast.

And that was Honduras!
Here's hoping for enough internet to do another photo blog of March in Nicaragua soon! Keep checking in and keep praying for my team as we end this month in Nicaragua!
