Here is a copy of my updated support letter, for those of you who did not receive one in the mail!
Dearest Friends,
I hope this letter finds you well! I wanted to write you to let you know about the exciting developments in my life! After graduating from Ohio State last June, I worked in a wonderful position in the corporate world in Columbus for nearly a year. However, my dream is to help alleviate international poverty through business and economic solutions, and I have a deep passion for those who suffer from harsh poverty. After studying these subjects in college, traveling, and working, I feel called to go serve the poor through a long-term mission trip in 2014 to pursue this vision further.
I will serve as a missionary through an organization, Adventures in Missions, in their World Race program starting in January. During the World Race, I will spend 11 months on three continents working with a variety of Christian mission organizations to serve the impoverished in these communities. My team and I will partner with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel; work in orphanages; minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking; aid in clinics and with construction projects; and bring restoration and hope of the Jesus’s love to many people.
I am so grateful that God has placed me on this path and have every confidence that He will provide for my needs! Ultimately, my prayer is that He will do that through you. I am writing to you to ask if you would consider partnering prayerfully and financially with me in my ministry. I must raise $16,285 in order to go on the World Race, which covers all of my expenses on the field. This financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as monthly donation, wherein you choose the amount and beginning and end date. I would like to challenge those of you who feel compelled to pledge $50 a month for 9 months – with 31 more pledges like this I would be 100% funded! However, any amount – one time or monthly – would be greatly appreciated.
I have enclosed a response card and pre-addressed envelope, inviting you to share in this ministry. Please make checks payable to Adventures In Missions and return the response card with your donation to Adventures In Missions, PO Box 534470, Atlanta, GA, 30353-4470. The response card will provide AIM with the information necessary to send you a receipt for your donation. If you would prefer to make your donation online, you may do so by visiting my blog and seeing the “support me” link on the left. Visit : http://jackiebakalarski.theworldrace.org
Such exciting things are happening in my life and in these communities and I urge you to be a part of it! I hope not only to be a blessing to those I serve, but also to you. I would be honored to go as your representative as well as I serve and minister abroad. I want to thank you in advance for your prayers and financial support – I cannot tell you how much it is appreciated. Please email me at [email protected] or call me at 937-760-4004 with any questions you may have. May God bless you deeply and abundantly as you consider partnering with me in this ministry.
Joyfully,
Jackie Bakalarski
