Packing a second go around has been less stressful and less time consuming, luckily!

*Here are some things I packed for the World Race that I either realized I didn’t need or just want to abandon for this trip:

Bathing suit (In India you have to swim in full clothing from ankles to shoulders anyways)
Make Up
Big Camera (Canon 60D)
Chacos (Because I’ve learned they don’t do so well walking in dirt all day, every day. Hard to keep from smelling bad because there’s really no way to clean them and they are heavy for the pack)
Jeans (Heavy and too hot for India!)
Tent (We just won’t need it this go round!)
Headlamp (I never used it on the Race, and I just used my phone flashlight if I needed some light)
Loads and Loads of Medicine (You can really buy whatever you’ll need overseas, if and when you need to)

*Here’s what I’m taking for my 3 month mission trip to India/Nepal:

Day Pack (Carry-On)

Electronic Bag (chargers, headphones, hardrives, etc.)
Wipes (You need these in your carry on for long travel days! No one feels clean after a 15 hour plane ride)
ThermaRest Travel Pillow
NeoAir Camper Sleeping Pad (I usually wouldn’t put this in my day pack, BUT we have a 14 hour layover in an Indian airport so this will come in handy!)
Sleeping Bag Liner (Acts like a sheet incase I end up using my sleeping bag or I get cold on the airplane)
Water Bottle
Journal/Bible
Sunglasses (I’m taking my nice pair this time because I wish I had taken them on the World Race with me)
Cards/Monopoly Deal (Because I need to find some fellow MD addicts, or make some myself)
Passport
Wallet (ID, money, debit card, Insurance Card)
Small Canon Camera
Laptop/iPhone

65 Liter Ospry Pack

Sleeping Bag
Speaker (For dance parties or group movies)
Day Pack Rain Cover
Eno/Straps
Sandels (Double as shower shoes as well)
Nike Running Shoes
Dirty Clothes Bag
Ziplock Bag (Honey/Crystal Light Packets-esstintial for India!, Advil)
Ziplock Bag (Leave in conditioner {for those bucket showers where your hair comes out looking like a birds nest}, Bugspray)
Toiletry Bag (Shampoo, Conditioner, Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Soap, Hair ties, hairspray, lotion, bobby pens, sunscreen, earplugs {a must}, fingernail polish, head buffs/headbands, enough American feminine products to last 3 months- you don’t want to get stuck with what they have to offer over there, etc.)
Undergarment Bag (socks, underwear, sports bras, 1 regular bra)
Scarves (To wear with Punjabis-traditional clothing)
Rain Jacket

Small Purse (for outings where I don’t need my day pack)
Bottoms (3 leggings, 2 shorts, 5 Punjabi pants)
Tops (5 t-shirts, 2-Punjabi tops, 1 long sleeve)
Pillow Cases (I like a clean pillow)
Fleece Pullover
Quick Dry Towel

Well, there ya have it! I’m all set and ready to head out. Thank you for all of your support through this amazing journey.
