I had always wondered what it would be like to go to India. It’s not something I ever dreamed of, and I certainly didn’t think I would fall in love with the country. Funny how things happen.
I am still processing how amazing India was and how much we saw God moving throughout the villages we visited. The people had such joy, laughter, and love that it spread from their faces to ours. It was hot…very hot, and I probably perspired more than I ever had before in my life, but God kept showing himself to us in little nuggets. We would roll up to our village for the day, already drained from the morning and van ride, but as soon as I saw those kids faces gleaming at me, I couldn’t help but want to smile back. My heart smiled a lot that month.
I can say without a doubt that I fell in love with the culture, dance, music, food, fashion, and the people. India will always hold a special spot in my heart.
