On News Years Eve of 2014, G Squad gathered together in Botswana to make declarations for the year 2015. This video shows each member rebuking any lies, guilt, or shame the enemy has placed upon them in their past. I absolutely love each one of my G Squad family members and am amazed to see all of the chains that have fallen off of them over the course of 8 months. The World Race is so much more than I had ever thought it would be. I have loved being apart of the local families and ministries, ministering to children, women, men, and embracing the culture from country to country…

…But what I am also learning is that I LOVE COMMUNITY. Yes, I said it. I love living in a small 2 story house with 40 other people. Sleeping 9 people to a 15’x10′ room in bunk beds, with barely any walking room. I love waking up to my bunk mate and having breakfast, lunch , and dinner served by our amazing kitchen team. I love staying up until 1pm to play Monopoly Deal (MD) with people I have quickly grown close to over the past couple months, even though they may be a little considered that I’m addicted to the game. I love having to always walk with at least one other person because now I have gotten to know people so much better because of that silly rule. I love that our squad has become organic and raw. I love that I have squad mates who serve me well along with the rest of the squad. I love that Courtney makes me apple dumplings and Tressa makes us Kugan. I love massage trains and foot washings. I love the men of G Squad because they embody Christ’s love for women, as proved on Valentine’s Day. I love that sometimes we don’t like each other, at all. I love that community makes us fight because then it helps us remember why we appreciate that person. I love that I don’t have to fix/brush/wash my hair, put on make up, or even wear matching clothes. I love that I can wear my obnoxious Thai pants with my obnoxious 90’s, second-hand store find jacket with my fake ugg boots and they love me just the same! I love watching ridiculous YouTube videos with my sea horse, sea shell loving brothers and sisters. They make me laugh until I cry, and sometimes wet my pants. This month (All Squad month: Romania) we were given a word by our host- “Worshippers”. And how fitting that name is. This month has been a month of breakthrough for worship and man do we have it going Bossa Nova! The spirit is living and moving inside of each and every one of us and it gives my heart chills to just think about the power we have. I love that we’re all in this together (key Highschool Musical) and we are all pursuing the same thing: love, grace, hope, joy, and God-Alba our Father. I could probably go on and on about how much love I have inside me right now for my G’s, but it’s already midnight and I’m getting sick from staying up too late playing Monopoly Deal.

I LOVE YOU G SQUAD! SEA HORSES FOREVA!!!
