Hey everyone! I just want to first start off by saying thank you to everyone for this continuous support on my journey. Whether it be a donation, blog comment, or checking up on me it just means so much to me to hear from you all! One of my favorite things is to hear back from yall about things I’m experiencing or even how my journey is impacting your life! So thank you guys so much for your love! In case you guys didnt know, I’m exactly $520 away from hitting my goal of $16,600! I literally dont even know how to say thank you to all of you for making this happen. Since the day I signed up for the Race one of the only things holding me back was the money. Because of how late I joined I didnt think that I would ever be able to hit my goal. But God had other plans:) Once again I just thank you from the bottom of my heart for your unending support throughout my journey so far!

God is really good you guys. The ways he speaks to us are really cool! Over the past week God has really given me a way to hear and understand him better. Since getting back from Pietermaritzburg we have been living with a World Race 11n11 team that has moved into Impact Africa for their last month of ministry. For those of you who dont know what 11n11 is, it is 11 countries in 11 months for people the age of 21-35. This team is in their 11th month! There is 4 girls and 3 boys on their team. Incredibly intimidated at first by their wisdom and age, these people have become such amazing friends of mine. The 3 guys were SO excited to be with us and have shown us so much love because they have been surrounded by 20+ girls for 10 months. Since getting to know them I have learned so much. Because they are so far on their journey, they have so much wisdom to pour out on us and its so encouraging. But what is really cool is that they have told me that they are learning many things from my team as well. I always ask to sit down one on one with them just to ask questions, and they ask just as many questions as well. God has taught me that WE ALL have the same Holy Spirit inside of us so who is to have more wisdom than the other? Seeing my team learn from these guys has been awesome as well. We have grown so close to them over the past couple of weeks its really going to be hard to say goodbye next week. Im super excited for them as they head to Cape Town for their last debrief and then back home to the States. They have all been so faithful to God on their journey, I just pray that God makes it clear for them when they get home where he wants them to go.

Its been an awesome week! We started it off with a couple days of evangelism in Diepsloot. Diepsloot is a town here in Johannesburg. Diepsloot is made up of what they call here “squatercamps”. Squatercamps are basically just shacks made up of, barbed wire, tarps, and medal sheets. They are about the size of one small room. The reason people are living in these is because they come from all over Africa to try to find jobs in “The City of Gold” which is Johannesburg. Johannesburg makes up of 1/3 of the entire continent of Africa’s GDP! So you can now see why they are wanting to come here. Because they come with no money they have nothing to live in but these squatercamps. For about 6 hours everyday we go door to door and share the gospel with them. We share testimonies, help them with laundry or cooking, and tell them about Jesus. It has been very stretching ministry for sure, but the best kind of minstry in my opinion to see God work first hand!

The past couple of days, I was just outside Botswana at an African game reserve with all the guys here at Impact! It was probably the coolest thing I have ever experienced! We were camping out on grounds that Zebras, Giraffes, and Leopards walked! We got the opportunity to hunt as well! It was very nice to get away from the girls and just be with all the guys who share the same passion as I do!

BIG NEWS! My team and I have created a podcast about the World Race! We are sharing our experiences, tips, and all sorts of interesting things that we have found out while being on the World Race! You dont have to be a future racer, current racer, or even a supporter of a racer, our audience is everyone! We decided to do this because we feel like it was hard to kind of picture what the Race would be like before being on it so we wanted to help other people understand what It is actually like and how God moves in everybody’s lives! We are available on Podcast and Apple Podcasts as “On The Race Podcast”. I will attach a link below! We would love the support or any kind of feedback you guys have for us!

Im in my last month here in South Africa! On December 2nd I will be starting my trek to Ecuador! I couldnt have asked for a better start to my race. I know it will only get tougher but I believe I have had a great start in growing my relationship with the Father!
