Loren and Jack

Both Texas born and bred,
Jack grew up in while Loren is proud of her roots in
Jack grew up at 
, and the Lord has been a part of his life for as long as he can remember. In college, he felt God calling him to cross-cultural missions.
Loren accepted Christ in 1996 at 
and God became an important part of her life very quickly. A few years later, she felt a strong call to dedicate her life as a missionary.
Jack & Loren met in 2006 studying

… but they didn't feel a 
until a mission trip during Summer '07
in

Something about living life with the beautiful people of East Africa knit their hearts together!
They decided to take it

It wasn't until 
that they started

Jack knew right away that Loren was the one for him, but it look Loren a little longer to know. They walked through many good times and challenges, including graduating from college, the birth of Loren's nephew, dating long-distance, and dealing with the diagnosis Loren's mom's brain tumor.
After almost three years,
they were

Before the Race, Loren worked at

They arrived back in Texas in September 2012. They are thankful to be back in America, already missing living overseas, and praying about what is next!
