A few years ago a friend shared with me the quote, “Life is not meant to be understood forwards, but rather backwards.” My World Race story progresively becomes more interesting each month. If I drew a map of connnections from my life to the World Race, then an intricate web would be formed. In March, I journaled “Lord, I need direction from you whether or not to go on the World Race. Please make this crystal clear.” Well . . . throughout the past few months, I have seen this prayer answered by the ten-fold. I do not believe in coincedences, but rather I believe in Divine appointments. This is a testimony of God’s incredible timing. This is a story of his unmerited grace. My Abba Father has led me into this journey for such a time as this. I do not know what I will learn in the coming months, but I do know that my God will always be with me (Joshua 1:9). Allow me to show you how God has answered my prayer for direction. Psalm 139: 13-16 “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.” Note: (month on my route) 1984– My parents traveled to South Africa and Swaziland (months 8 & 9) on a medical mission trip. 1985– My parents and their friends, Clay and Angeli, move from Tulsa, OK to Orlando, FL. 1988– birth.
