April 2011 was one of the memorable months of my life. I spent my final days of being 22 in my 22nd country. For three weeks, I served alongside New Life Fellowship, a local church in New Phnom Penh. My team and I experienced the Khmer (pronounced Camay) New Year, tasted the cuisine, taught English classes, learned about Cambodia’s tragic history, formed amazing friendships, and met more of our ever-expanding family around the world.

By now, I’m sure that you’ve recognized a pattern in my blogging. In the months where I really love the ministry, I struggle the most to pull myself away from ministry to spend time blogging. Hence, no blogs were written this month while I was in Cambodia; a strong indication of my heart for Cambodia. By now, I know that some of my family, friends, and supporters have discovered that following my teammates tends to fill in the gaps in my journey when I haven’t blogged. Although the seven members of Team Pneuma are on the same journey together, we each offer a different perspective of our World Race journey. If you haven’t read some blogs from my teammates, I enourage you to do so because each perspective provides another angle of our nomadic life.

I genuinely miss my friends and family back in the States and around the world. You remain in my prayers, and I am excited to one day share the numerous stories, memories, lessons, and photos in those small group settings and one-on-one conversations that I love. Thanks for your prayers and support. I feel blessed to have received these opportunities to serve around the world, and I am ever thankful for each individual who has prayed for me and supported me along my journey with the Lord. My Abba Father is doing an incredible work in my life right now; this is only the beginning of my adventures with Him. He has brought me to a place that I never expected. My heart fell in love with the nation of Cambodia in only the few short weeks that I was here, and for some time, I just didn’t have the words to express my heart for Cambodia. I can now summarize this past month in one sentence . . .
Cambodia has become one of my heartlands.

[Meet the Harvestors, some of my Khmer family. This is the generation that will change Cambodia and other nations for Christ. During my first weekend in Cambodia, I went on a weekend outreach trip to a province with the Harvestors.]
