us, feeding us delicious food..more food than we could ever know what to do
with, filling us with hugs and baked goods and words of encouragement.

D.C. to Dubai
Shortest. Layover.
Ever.
7 hour flight from
Dubai to Zambia
7 hour bus ride from
the capital to Livingstone.

So what does Africa
look like?
It does not look
like huts or mud houses.
The people aren’t
all bald.
It’s not full of
desert.
The language is not
weird clicking.
Ebola is not in
Zambia.
Africa is one of my
favorite countries I’ve ever been in.
The people are the
kindest people I’ve ever met.
The men speak like
Mufasa.
Almost everyone
speaks English.
The people have the
greatest sense of humor, I’ve never laughed so hard!
The children. Holy
Cow. The children are the sweetest, most loving children.
The church is full
of people desperate for the Lord.
What does this month
look like?
This month looks
like two teams (14 people) living in a beautiful home together.
Tenting outside at
night (or hammocking)
Lots of laughter
Lots of hugging
Growing closer to
each other, encouraging each other, letting each other into our lives.
What does ministry
look like this month?
Our contacts are
absolutely amazing. They speak English and have the greatest sense of humor. We
are always laughing when we’re together. They are desperate for the Lord and
are desperately seeking relationships with everyone to show them Jesus.
This month we get to
do a lot of things
Widows Bible Study
Awanas
Street Evangelism
Bible School at a
local orphanage
Youth meetings
Cleaning Parks
A 4 day trip to a
village to do a children’s camp and evangelism in the village
Business Training
for widows
And on sundays we go
to church. Church is from 9:00-4:00…bring lunch. Hahhaha…no we’re not kidding.
I absolutely love
this place.
I love the people
and how relational they are.
I love how desperate
they are for Jesus.
I love how they make
lion king jokes on the regular.
And I love that my
contact loves Beyonce.
(Fun Fact: Yonce in
Tonga (the local language) means everything. Her name literally translates to
“Be Everything”.)
We have a few off
days this month as well where we can go to Victoria Falls! There’s an
additional part where we can go to the top of the falls and swim in the pools
on the edge of the falls. If funding allows I’ll be swimming on top of a
waterfall in a week.
I’m looking forward
to sharing amazing stories this month.
I’m sure there will be plenty!
Currently I am about
$2,000 away from meeting my final deadline due by January 1st!
If you’d like to
give you can click support me on the left side and donate online. Any little
bit helps.
Also, If you would
like to give an early Christmas present this month or next I’m hoping to go to
Victoria Falls and also to do a Safari sometime in the next 3 months here in
Africa. Those things are quite a bit out of my personal monthly budget though.
Victoria Falls will
cost $90
Safari could be
anywhere from $100-$250 (I’m sure it depends on the country I do it in)
If you feel led to
give in this way you can either give on paypal [email protected] or you can
message me and you can send donations to my mom who can put it into my personal
funds account.
Thank-You for all
the support. I honestly cannot express how thankful I am for every one of you.
