Everything you ever wanted to know about me and probably a lot of extra random stuff that you could care less about.

I'm 21
I've lived in Oklahoma my whole life.
I'm majoring in Early Childhood Education.
I've been a babysitter for over half of my life, so I guess that makes me a professional babysitter.
I've worked at 2 daycares, Chilis (for a brief 3 months, it was terrible), and now I babysit for several professors at my college.
I go to Oklahoma Baptist University, and I'm convinced it's the best university. Ever.
I've been to Cardiff, Kazakhstan, and Thailand twice for mission trips. Thailand holds a special place in my heart, though.
I'm shamelessly addicted to coffee.
I'm absolutely terrified of any kind of bugs, especially crickets, roaches, and June bugs.
I also really don't like toads.
If I could only have one food for the rest of my life I would probably choose cheese.
I watch an absurd amount of television including; How I Met Your Mother, The Bachelor/Bachelorette, New Girl, Survivor, Greys Anatomy, Scandal, Vampire Diaries (It's not as bad as it sounds), Once Upon A Time, Pretty Little Liars, So You Think You Can Dance, Downton Abby, and Doctor Who. … Just to name a few….
I have 2 brothers, one is three years older and one is three years younger.
My dad started his own computer business 6ish years ago.
I enjoy playing flag football.
My first time seeing a mountain was the summer of 2012 when I did a jungle trek in Chiang Mai.
I'm left handed.
I sleep walk and sleep talk when I'm overly tired and/or stressed. Surely that will never happen on the WR though, right?
I felt called to missions my Junior year of High School
Segway

I've known for a few years that I want to do fulltime missions someday, I just never knew what God would want me to do until 2 years ago. I was looking for missions opportunities for the summer of 2012 and I found this organization that needed people to bring children from their village to their school once a week. These kids had to travel to other cities to go to school because their village didn't have a school. I got to wondering what people do if they don't have a school and don't have the money to send their kids to school, what then? That semester I was reading about Frederick Douglass and how he never knew how enslaved he was until he was educated. It was his education that opened his eyes to the world and all the possibilities available.
It was then that I really felt sure about my God-sized dream of starting schools in rural villages in other countries, not only for children, but for adults who want to learn as well. God keeps confirming this dream over and over again every time I start doubting this dream.

So, why the WR?
Well I still have zero idea how to start schools and zero idea as to where to start schools. All the mission trips I've been on have been to big cities with numerous schools and schooling available. I hope to learn how to be a missionary for longer than 3 months. I hope to learn from other ministries on the field how they started their ministry, what kinds of obstacles they faced. I hope God uses this time to show me a place he'd like me to start or give me the next piece of the puzzle. I hope to grow in Christian community with like-minded people for 11 months. I hope to serve in any and every way possible, to bless the ministries we will be working with, and to love the least of these.

And I'm REALLY stinking excited about it.
