This month my team
is staying in Honduras, about 30 minutes away from Tegucigalpa in
“ValleDeAngels”.

We are staying in
the house with our contacts David and Scarlet. We have bunk beds and 3 rooms
for us to live in. The weather is absolutely perfect, 70’s most of the time,
overcast, rain in the evenings. The view is even better since we are in the
mountains. Everywhere you look it’s just the most beautiful thing. The town we
are walking distance to is really european looking with stone covered streets,
adorable village buildings, coffee shops on every corner (Can I get a
hallelujah).

Here’s what a
typical day looks like for me.

7:30: wake up and
read bible, start the coffee (duh)

8:00: either start
making breakfast and preparing our lunch or do chores cleaning the house. Get
ready for the day.

9:00: Head to the
school to either

-give out food and
teach a bible study

-sand and paint a
classroom

-level the ground
outside to make it more safe for the kids to play

Noon: Lunch and
bible study. Our team is reading through acts right now.

1:00: Finish up the
job we started in the morning

3:00-5:00: Teach
English and a bible study at the orphanage down the street and play with the
kids.

5:00: Prepare dinner

6:00: Dinner

7:00/7:30/8:00
(Depends on if dinner is ready on time): Team time and feed back

9:00 or 10:00: Bed
time!

Sometimes in our
schedule we find time to walk down the street to a coffee shop and get wifi. So
far everyday I’ve found time to walk to a coffee shop to get coffee..you
know..priorities.

That was our week
last week. Every week it changes a little.

Tomorrow we have
kids day so we’ll be going to a different school and playing with the kids all
day and having games and prizes.

Today instead of
going to school we met a lady that our contacts know and she became my Honduran
grandmother. We’ll be going back tomorrow to give her medicine she needs and
later this month we will be putting in a new floor in her home.

On Saturdays we go
into different mountain villages and hand out food and talk to people and pray
for people doing door to door ministry.

On Sundays we have
our off day where we met with team Trust Without Borders and hung out with them
all day. Hopefully there will be more times to hang out with that team
throughout the month because they’re only 30 minutes from us.

So far, Honduras is
amazing. It’s my favorite month. It’s my favorite culture. It’s my favorite
ministry. It’s my favorite weather. And I’m learning so much spanish!

I’m already starting
to put together a video of our time here in Honduras.

Prayer request:
Miranda, Ashely, Kayla, and Andrew have yet to meet their financial deadline of
$11,000 due at the end of the month. If you feel so called to donate to them
you can find their pages on the left side of this page. Click on them, go to
their blog, and donate online towards their account. It would mean a lot to me
and to them!
