Worship at home sometimes looks like a bunch of people standing in a church swaying and then a few (crazy) people with their hands up screaming the lyrics.

Is this true for you?

It was for me for a while and it was super intimidating.

Growing up in churches and even in church related events during times of worship I’ve often been asked to stand and worship. During my trip this started to like really itch at my skin and bother me because I am not always called to stand and worship. Our father calls us to worship him , he doesn’t say the only way to do so is by standing with our arms raised. Now, when I worship I just listen to my Fathers voice , and sometimes he ask me to sit still and admire his glory and beauty around me. Sometimes he tells me to create a piece of art for someone else. Sometimes he tells me to stand and declare his name and his goodness.

Worship doesn’t have to be the same for everyone, I’d encourage you before you stand to really listen to your Father and ask him how he wants you to worship today.

Big Fact : There’s so many ways to worship.

That’s not much, but it’s something I’ve learned and something that has freed me of so much pressure and confusion and made my relationship with my Father stronger.
