My teammate Carley Jo , wrote a post about what it was like to live with 15 girls, and I was inspired to write one to from my own perspective.
Living with 15 girls is chaos. It is waiting in line for showers. It is loud. It is random chaotic debate about what is happening. It is random dance parties, in the best way.
Living with 15 girls is peace. It is long hard talks. It is long deep happy talks. It is sharing a bed because it’s more comfortable to fall asleep next to one another. It is quiet time in the mornings. It is full of tears and smiles.
Living with 15 girls is not drama and is not scary when living with 15 girls who love The Lord. It is worship nights. It is bible studies. It is lots of prayer. It’s lots of love shown and love received.
It’s beautiful, because the 15 woman I lived with are beautiful.

Erin Lamb
She is worship. She is always smiling. She is full of kindness and perseverance. No matter what she faced she would preserve through to serve. She has the most beautiful gift of worship. She spent many days and nights leading our team in worship. When she’s worshipping her heart for our Father never fails to show. Thank you, Erin for showing me what it looks like to worship in the most purest and beautiful ways. Thank you for being an amazing sister.
Jordan
She is strength. She showcases the best way to care for others through her leadership. She has a gift of motivating others. She brings me peace through organization and a genuine care to serve to our fullest abilities. She is also funny, kind, and so much more. She can sing + rap any Justin Bieber song. Thank you Jordan for helping us by leading in even the smallest ways. Thank you for being an amazing sister.
Dalice
She is kindness. Dalice or Dallas , it depends on the day what we call her. She has the ability to find the good in literally every situation. A day never goes by she doesn’t remind us of something to be thankful for. She is always writing the cutest notes. She also has a beautiful laugh that lights up the room. She never complains, while some of us ( me ) may be getting aggravated about 96 degree weather , she brings you a frozen coffee from pops and reminds you it’s still a beautiful day. Thank you for being an amazing sister.
Bailey
She is a leader. You only live once so if the chance arises, you should consider living with her for three months. Bailey is a passionate leader. She builds up this team, but she builds us on truth. She is friendly and has the best sense of humor. You can tell if she could she would spend the rest of her life traveling and serving The Lord. Thank you for spending almost every day painting with me for the past three months. Thank you Bailey for not only reminding me to do what I’m suppose to do but, for always leading in the right direction. Thank you for being an amazing sister.
Lauren
She is gentleness. On our flight to Nicaragua Lauren and I sat next to each other and happened to be accidentally listening to the same song artist at the same time, and since that moment I knew we’d be friends. Lauren is full of tenderness and sweetness, like a baked cookie. She does lots of work behind the scenes. Sometimes you may see her in the background, but she is just making sure we have everything we need. She is a friend to all. She is authentically kind to everyone she meets. She is just filled with love.Thank you for being an amazing sister.
Miriam
She is a light. Miriam is the reason our team had crazy fun dance parties every day. She had a gift to love on others well and even more her gift to love on children. She is strong, funny, caring, and of course more. She is a friend to all. She showcases growth and perseverance. She’ll make you laugh even when you’re throwing up. She will even wear matching crazy outfits with you. Thank you Miriam for reminding me to always not get to caught in my own head and feelings. Reminding how to find happiness everywhere. Thank you for being an amazing sister.
Gabrielle
She is honesty. Gabrielle is spontaneous, adventurous, and tells the truth. She is full of boldness to speak. In San Jose, she showed her strength putting together and taking down a trampoline day by day when no one else wanted to. She’s always down for a fun girls day. She is full of her own style. Thank you for being an amazing sister.
Erin Brown
She is the heart. Her heart feels everything the way The Lord does. She’s full of courage. Month two of the race she shaved her head and said goodbye to holding her identity in her hair and yes to her identity in our Father. Her heart hurts for the brokenness of the world. She loves nature and appreciates the beauty of all Gods creations. She sometimes eats noodles and chips for lunch. Thank you for all our deep conversations and for always having ears ready to listen. Thank you for being an amazing sister.
Sarah
She is a flower. Each day she is growing and blossoming in all different ways. She has such a way with everyone she meets to just put smiles on faces. She has a little sass and a little spunk. She is gifted with a good sense of humor and a beautiful smile to laugh with. She is caring. Thank you for lighting up the room. Thank you for being an amazing sister.
Chloe
She is a friend. Chloe is full of love, joy, and adventure. She is care free and thinks outside of the box. Her mind stores endless creativity, it’s such a gift. She has a way to a kids heart and people of the community. She is generous , strong , and kind. She has a willingness to give when needed. She can jump on a bus without a plan and have the fullest day. Thank you for reminding me to adventure more. Thank you for being an amazing sister.
Ky
She is free. In all ways Ky is free indeed. She hurts for the truth to be spread across nations. Although, she has been my leader, she is more my friend. She is adventurous,deep, and caring. She taught us all how to surf. She always stands up for what is right. She speaks from the spirit. She has a gift for worship. Every single day morning or night , at some point I hear her worshiping in her quiet time with The Lord.She is strength,truth,joy, and more.Thanks for being an amazing sister.
Emily
She is a soft blanket. She is willing to go with the flow, but believes fully in the word. She is a friend, who will just do kind things for you without any thought. Her thoughts are complex. She is full of hidden wittiness it’s hilarious. She is not always a fan of pictures but that’s okay. The Lord shines through her heart.Thank you for being an amazing sister
Kris
She is authority. I’m sure she gets this over and over , but she truly carries the authority of The Lord EVERYWHERE. She is also full of kindness and fun to share. She has rocking dance moves and she is a master of puns. She is a leader but, also a teammate. Thank you for leading well. Thank you for being an amazing sister.
Zoé
She is a smile. The first night we ever spent together we stayed up until 1 am – 2am just chatting. She’s so full of spunk. She has the most precious gifting of working with children. They’re always running to after her. She carries lots of light and lots of strength. She is a joy and a warrior. She is always willing to be a helping hand. She does every single thing with a smile. She has been my roomie for 3 months straight and never once were we spectated even with assigned roommates. Thanks for putting up with me. Thanks for being an amazing sister.
Carley Jo
She is a giver. She has a heart for caring like no other. She feels everything so strongly. She is always making sure everyone feels loved. She is extremely comforting. She is creativity. She is a friend who is trustworthy, kind , and full of fun. She has grown in so many ways. She is the type of person that cries because of how much she loves everyone. Her desire to know the Lord more is always showing. She carries many talents and gifts. I’ve never met anyone with a heart like hers before. She is one of the only people I enjoy cuddling with. Thank you for being you. Thank you for being an amazing sister.
