No one runs the Christian race alone
“Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” – Hebrews 12:1-3 (NASB version)
There is a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, believers who have run before (Hebrews 11), people God has placed in our lives currently, and those he will place in our lives in the future…
WHY?
To encourage us to look to Jesus and run the race…to Endure, to SHARE IN THE JOURNEY…
This is why I am writing, every world racer has a “missions support team” (like a cycling support or “sag” team).
WHY?
A) To provide an opportunity for others to share in the journey
B) So each racer doesn’t rely on our own strength, rather learn to rely on God’s strength
This is why I fundraise, because I don’t run the world race alone, if you are a Christian you are in the cloud of witnesses that watch, pray and share in the journey with me.
If you are not a Christian then don’t read on, I’m not asking for finances from you but rather that you seek the truth. If you want to donate or buy stuff your able to but know God’s gift of salvation is free and is offered to all.
