Here is the post about my new team and how month 5 has been going…
My new team is called Entregado it is a spanish word that speaks to the idea of being surrendered or dedicated. The idea is that we have all surrendered our old teams and past and have all bought into the idea of being dedicated to the new team.

Month 5 summary:
After a 31 hour bus ride, then another 3 hour bus ride where the bus driver ate my snacks…
We arrived in Montañita Verde a orphanage located about 30 minutes outside of Manta Ecuador. We stayed there for 10 days, helping doing manual labor, cleaning, painting, and spent time with the kids.
Then we took a bus 8 hours to Quito Ecuador where we have been doing ministry with a local church “Dios es Amor”. We have been helping with manual labor, teaching english, sunday service, and cooking.
Each week night we go visit and have dinner with one of the families from the church.
On the worldrace we have ministry 6 days of the week and 1 free day.
Both ministries have ties to inca link: http://incalink.org
Montañita Verde Ministry Overview:
May 1st – May 10th
Our hosts were an American missionary couple Will and Amanda, they also had an inca link intern Ariel.
They welcomed us into their ministry, and made us american style food for the time we were there.
It was like a taste of home, meat loaf, pizza, apple pie, etc…
While the team was there we helped with manual labor, yard work, making bambo style rails, cleaning and spending time with the kids. On the worldrace we have ministry 6 days of the week and 1 free day.
Will and Amanda took us to the beach on our free day and myself and Matt hiked to the local light house.
The time spent at Montañita Verde was key to our team as we were by ourselves kinda isolated from the rest of the squad. We were able to be at one site and do ministry as a team together.
Our main role was to encourage those at the site and help the missionaries who will make a deeper impact.
