It all starts when you receive Christ, he makes all things new…
“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away;
behold all things are new.” – 2 Cor 5:17
When I left out of ontario California it was a weird feeling of leaving home, for the first time in my life buying a one way ticket and now knowing exactly when i would return. (The trip is scheduled to return late november early december I can’t give you an exact date)
Yesterday night they talked about four things to have a great world race:
1) A desire to grow and Change
2) Presence of God
3) Positive Attitude
4) Healthy Community
Though all key the first point is crucial…a desire to grow and change…
I don’t want to come back unchanged, I want to grow and have the Lord change me.
Yet as i say that DO I really, the thought of comfort and being somewhere familiar is tough to pass up.
Would we all be content to stay in our comfort zone and never change, to receive Christ as our savior but never grow. To not be stretched, to not take risks where we could fail?
Even here in this place that fear looms…will i be content to not grow or change on this trip, because change is painful, change is scary, change is, change is…fill in the blank.
Please pray for me that God grant me the courage to be willing to grow and change.
