Hello! I have great news to share with you!
Remember when I said stay tuned for an awesome t-shirt? Well, it has finally come!
The t-shirt my roommate, co-worker and I have been trying to visualize and design for a few months was finally created by my amazingly talented co-worker!! **Image at bottom of post** I wanted to share a bit more about the idea behind the shirt and ultimately how it has made a big impact in my current situation.
The idea behind it started with an idea my roommate had. She thought of the quote, “Through it all I will carry Your Love to all the nations” under a drawing of two mountains with a path going through them. I absolutely loved it! I was blown away by how creative and in the moment she was when I asked her for help with designing this shirt. I know the World Race will have its ups, downs, challenges, and blessings. Which is why I thought, “through it all” would be perfect. I also loved the idea of mountains representing the obstacles and challenges I will face, but God always makes a path. Unfortunately, the path isn’t in the design. However, the meaning is still there in the words.
The past couple of weeks have been very stressful for me. All the money I have wanted to give out of my paychecks towards this trip has had to go to so many other things. Within the past two weeks, my doctor ordered more testing, my wind shield got a crack in it, found out my tires need replacing, found out I will have to pay for all the vaccines I will need for this trip myself, and I still have a looooong way to go in fundraising. I keep questioning why all these expenses and issues are all of the sudden popping up at the same time. Why now? Why all of this during a time when I need to save money the most? The answer I got was so that I would learn to trust God with everything; though it all. Through all the doctor visits, through all the testing, through all the car repairs, through all the fundraising, and through anything else that will come my way. I have officially come to the point of full surrender because I cannot do this alone. God has made that very clear to me over the past couple of weeks and I am thankful for a God who cares and provides!! God knew what He was doing when He gave my roommate that quote. He knew I needed that reminder and I believe He will use this message to touch other people’s lives too!
